Camps

Students get the opportunity to attend local camps and seminars as arranged by the dojos.

More senior students are also able to attend National and International Camps.

Tournaments

Students get the opportunity to participate in:

  • Local tournaments as arranged by the dojos.
  • Annual National tournament as arranged by the style.
  • International tournaments.

The style is affiliated to WUKF and we follow their tournament rules and guidelines.

All students are given the opportunity to compete should they wish to. Healthy competition helps in the development and pursuit of achieving goals and is hence a benefit of participating in tournaments.

Although we are a traditional Okinawan, application based, style the value of healthy competition and hence tournaments are acknowledged as it develops good character.

Tours

Our style is affiliated to Shorin Ryu Shorinkan Okinawa and hence we are regularly offer the opportunity of cultural tours to Okinawa, the birth place of karate.

These tours afford students the opportunity to train in Okinawa under the tutelage of Hanshi Minoru Nagazato.

They also provide students with the opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Okinawan karate and culture.

As a style we are also well represented in the United States, Canada, Australia and many other countries and hence have opportunities to tour and train with many top instructors from these countries.
